SUFFIED, CT - June Steiger of Suffield, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marion (Hill) Gendreau. She is survived by a son Eric Steiger, her brother Roger Gendreau and his wife Patricia of Florida, a special niece, R.N. Susan Maxwell, whose care and compassion was so important during trying times; her lifetime friend, Marion Williams and John Flanders, a longtime friend. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gerry Goyette of Springfield, MA, and her sisters Fay Bray and Irene Samble both of Florida. June was a member of the Suffield Country Club for many years. Her family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.; followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m., at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. North (Rt. 159) Suffield, CT.
