The Rev. Earl W. Winand, 74, Colonial Park, died Monday at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was ordained in 1924 in the Assembly Of God Church at Mercersburg. After serving in Lebanon, Columbia and Barnesboro he retired at Mercersburg in 1956.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie Zeger Winand; six daughters, Mrs. Kenneth E. Gamber, Miss Kathryn E. Winand and Mrs. Joseph Kenes, all of Harrisburg; Mrs. Benjamin K. Nissley, Mt. Joy; Mrs. Harold R. Superko, Portsmouth, R.I., and Mrs. Henry L. Shaffer, State College. Two brothers, Freemont J. Winand, Harrisburg and Leroy Winand, Gardners; four Sisters, Mrs. Thomas Glass, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Charles Marks and Mrs. William J. Grimes, both of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Guy Murtorff, Gardners, and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.at the Assembly Of God Church, Mercersburg. The Rev. J. L. Pittman, pastor of the Assembly Of God Church, Silver Spring, Md. and the Rev. Russell Tiday, pastor of Bethany Tabernacle, Camp Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Mercersburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home at 2001 Market St., Harrisburg, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church in Mercersburg Thursday from noon until time of service.
