Joyce Carol Lilly, 74, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away March 23, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

She was born July 24, 1938, in Meadow Creek, W.Va., the daughter of James Hume and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Hume.

She was a housewife. She was a Ravenswood Girl and Cub Scout Troop Leader, and loved to crochet, garden, cook and can.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruby June Angus and her husband, Stephen, of Millwood, W.Va.; sons, Jon Mark Lilly and his wife, Nancy, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., and Charles Ryan Lilly and his wife, Michelle, of Millwood, W.Va.; grandchildren, Eli Lilly, Brittany Duperre, Sarah Angus, Thomas Lilly, Meghan Lilly and Mary Beth Wigand; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Adrianne Duperre; brothers, Richard Surbaugh of Wilmington, Del., Raymond Surbaugh of Rainelle, W.Va., Kenneth Surbaugh of Roanoke, Va., and Jack Hume of Oregon; sister, Virginia Hall of Washington state; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton; daughter, Mary Bragg; brothers, Chester and Ezra Surbaugh; and sisters, Gloria Harrah and Mabel Surbaugh.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Jon Mark Lilly officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
