Shirley Wadley, 90, of Bradley, died Sunday (March 17, 2013) at her home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee.
Mrs. Wadley was a homemaker and had worked at Wilson's Paints in Kankakee. She was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Danville, the daughter of Arthur and Alma Seidler Prouty. Her husband, Harry R. Wadley, whom she married June 27, 1942, in Kankakee, died Aug. 25, 2001. She was an avid Chicago sports fan. Her passion was reading.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Terry Meyers, and Beth and Randy Irps, all of Bourbonnais; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon) Francoeur, Nicole (Travis) Thornton, David (Carolyn) Meyers, Robert (Roni) Meyers, Brian (Lavonne) Meyers, Jessica (Michael) D'Ambrosio, Matthew Irps and Lauren Irps; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Wadley; one daughter, Kathy Wadley; two brothers, Donald and Arthur Prouty; and one sister, Jeanette Jackson.
