Captain William Anderson was born about 1680 in New Kent County, Virginia and died in King William County, Virginia in 1717. In 1710 he was appointed Justice of the Peace in King William County. In about 1700 he married Dorothy Dabney who was the daughter of Cornelius Dabney. She was born in about 1683 in New Kent County and died some time after 1720 in King William County.

Children listed in the order shown in William Anderson's 1717 Will published in "The Richmond, Virginia Standard" issue dated July 30, 1881: Elizabeth, Susannah, Dabney, Sarah, Martha, Judith, Ann, William.

Most family members believe the Dabney family is not from France, however one family member has much research to prove there is French heritage.

William is my 8th great grandfather.
