Elmer E King, 69 years old, well known Bullskin township man, died this morning at 10:35 o'clock at the home of his parents-in-law, Mr and Mrs John F Rist, at Cross Roads. He had been ill for about two years and in a critical condition several weeks.
Mr King for many years was engaged as a sqwyer on mills in various parts of Fayette and S omerset counties and was regarded as an expert. For the last 15 years, up to the time of his illness, he was employed at the plant of the Marion Machine, Foundry & Supply Company at Scottdale.
Elmer Ellsworth King was born near Ursiua, December 29, 1861, a son of Alfred P and Catherine Nicola King. He spent his early life in that region, but for the last 32 years had lived at Scottdale and Cross Roads, 15 uears in the latter place. He was married twice. His first wife was Miss Alice Wills of Ursina, who died in 1906. Of three children born to that union two survive - Earl A King of Erie and Mrs Elmer R Blank of Scottdale. His second wife was Miss Cleo rist of Cross Roads. One daughter was born to them, Ruth Alison King, a student at Scottdale High School. Besides his wife and children, Mr King is survived by the following brothers and sisters: William A King of Portersville, Mrs J W Show of Fairmont, W Va, Miss Jessie King of Scottdale, John G King of Confluence and Mrs C D Shank of Scottdale.
