Ola was born in Nacogdoches December 15, 1921, the daughter of Robert and Ada (Strickland) Tindall. While in Texas, Ola was very active in church activities. She was a member of the North Street Church of Christ in Nacogdoches and the Pearland Church of Christ in Pearland.
For many years, Ola taught Sunday school. Ola was a hairdresser for over 25 years. She was devoted to her family, enjoying sharing her talents of crocheting and sewing. Her family will long remember her as a prankster.
Members of her family include her sons, Donald and David, a daughter, Rona, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Ola was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Marie Allen and by husband, Thermon J. Hassell.
