Walter Harris of Alexander Circle, LaFollette, died March 17 at Ft. Sanders Hospital, Knoxville.
He was a Baptist and a retired heavy equipment operator.
The funeral was Saturday at Martin's Funeral Home with the Rev. Hudon Overbay officiating. Burial was in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Harris of LaFollette; two sons, Elmer and Larry Harris, both of Indiana; seven daughters, Mrs. Jean Holcomb, Mrs. Francis Jackson and Mrs. Toni Mallet, all of Ohio, Mrs. Faye Lee Owens of Indiana, Mrs. Patricia Wagner and Mrs. Sandra Hopkins, both of Kentucky and Mrs. Jo Etta Stanford of Tennessee; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Boshears of Jacksboro and Mrs. Kay Arrowood and Mrs. Kay Sobkowiak, both of Michigan; a step-son, Clyde Baird of LaFollette; a sister, Mrs. Irene Hooker of Kentucky; and four brothers, Homer Henson of Indiana, Allan Harris of Kentucky and Elisha Harris of Ohio; 28 grandchildren.
