Jolene D. Sanders, 68, a resident of Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville, and a retired employee of The Tennessee Department of Human Services, died Saturday (Feb. 28, 1998) at her residence. Mrs. Sanders was a native of Plevna, Alabama, daughter of the late Burt Cleveland and Easter Elsie Williams Danner and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Sanders of Fayetteville; children, Sheila Partin of Houston, Texas, Roxane Laxton of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tommy Sanders of Fayetteville; sisters, Marguerite Davis and Inez Bailey, both of Plevna, Mildren Snoddy of Fayetteville, and Pauline Knox of Stevenson, Alabama; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Archer officiating. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
