Marvin Dossett

Marvin Leo Dossett, 77, of Autumn Heights, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 1991, at the Elm View Care Center.

Born Aug. 14, 1914, in Cunningham, Ky., he was the son of George Leonard and Effie Duncan Dossett. He married Reva Elizabeth Hootman Jan. 12, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Feb. 11, 1973.

He was a real estate agent before retiring. He was a Protestant, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving include three daughters, Mrs. Kay Gehrmann, Burlington, Mrs. Sue Pitzer, Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mrs. Dee Quinn, Houston, Texas; one son, Larry L. Dossett, Wapello; two sisters, Adeline Rudolph and Ruby Glisson, both of Paducah, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel.

The graveside committal service for Mr. Dossett will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Maple Hills (sic. Hill) Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating.

A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Health Homemakers.
