Gerald C. "Jerry" Abbott, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1929, in Detroit. A 45-year resident, he was a county agency photographer, a Korean War Air Force veteran, past master of Oasis Masonic Lodge 41, puissant sovereign of Desert Paradise Conclave-Red Cross of Constantine, grand junior deacon of Grand Lodge F&AM of Nevada, member of York Rite Bodies of Las Vegas, Scottish Rite Bodies of Las Vegas and Zelzah Shrine Temple

He is survived by his wife, Nancy A.; one son, Gary S. Abbott, and one daughter, Karen A. Phillips, both of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to the Scottish Rite Language Disorder Clinic, 2200 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106, or the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
