Oval B. Boone Oval B. Boone, 71, who retired as an attorney for the Department of Transportation, died Saturday, March 13, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Doris Boone. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191) is handling arrangements. Mr. Boone had lived in Tallahassee since 1975. He served in the U.S. Navy. Other survivors include a son, Jim Boone of Tallahassee; a daughter, Betsy Boone Hosey of Tallahassee; a stepdaughter, Laurie Lumpkin Russell of Tallahassee; a sister, Sarah Boone Slade of Pinehurst, N.C.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Edward Conradi, former president of Florida State College for Women.
