Graveside service and interment for Nelda Jane Johnston will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Somerville, with Reverend Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Miss Johnston passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the age of 85, at her residence. She was born July 2, 1927, in Morgan County to Tate Lowery Johnston and Georgia Price Johnston. Miss Johnston graduated from Cotaco High School in 1946 and worked in food service for most of her life. After she retired she provided childcare for over a dozen different children and enjoyed every minute of it. She was an avid gardener and reader of books. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle and faithfully attended Sunday School and church.

Survivors include her sister, Caroline Johnston Sterling; and several nieces and nephews

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of the Ray Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church of Hartselle.
