Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Eugene Wallace Johnston, 75, of Lake Elsinore, who died May 4 in Holtville. Assistant Chaplain Lynda Greyshock of Inland Valley Regional Medical Center and Jerry M. Brittsan and Joe D. Petree, both of Imperial Masonic Lodge 390, will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mr. Johnston was born June 6, 1925, in Los Angeles. He was a retired cattleman who worked in the Imperial Valley, Live Oak Springs, Warner Springs and Banner Springs areas. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II

Mr. Johnston was a member of Masonic Lodge 390 and Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his son and daughters-in-law, Randy and Trisha Johnston of Lemoore, Michael and Teri Johnston of Holtville and Paul and Cheryl Johnston of Oak Grove; sons, James Johnston of Hollister and Lee Johnston of El Centro; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Larry Perry of Hollister; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Imperial Masonic Lodge 390, P.O. Box 367, Imperial, CA 92251; the California Scottish Rite Foundation, 855 Elm Ave., Long Beach, CA 90813, or a charity of choice.
