Mrs. Flora May Wennick died on Saturday evening, June 28, 1947, at her late home in Rockhill Furnace after an illness of six weeks.
Mrs. Wennick was born on July 15, 1874, in Cromwell Township, the daughter of Shade and Molly (Lafferty) Booher. On January 26, 1895 she was united in marriage with Edward Wennick in Orbisonia. Mr. Wennick died in 1935.
Mrs. Wennick is survived by two daughters: Nora (Mrs Fern Barber) of Orbisonia and Martha (Mrs Earl Keith) of Rockhill Furnace; three foster-children: Ethel (Mrs. Harry Leonard) of Black Log, Earl Drake of Allentown, and Anna (Mrs. James Pheasant) of Rockhill Furnace; one sister; Mrs. Frank Drake of Rockhill Furnace; three brothers; Charles Booher of Cromwell Township, Dorris Booher of Mill Creek, and George Booher of Rockhill Furnace. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Rockhill Furnace.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia. The Rev. Martin Scholten of the Rockhill Furnace Church of the Brethren will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Don Hoffman of the Rockhill Furnace Church of the Nazarene.
Interment will be in the Jorden Cemetery, Cromwell Township. Friends may call at the funeral home today and tomorrow prior to the service.
