Harry Mager was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He had to drop out of school during the Depression, but he went on to be self-educated in a number of fields. His business was selling flooring and he was an honest and ethical businessman. He was a gifted artist who sculpted, painted, and designed and built furniture. He had a beautiful singing voice. He showed kindness and gentleness to everyone he met. He loved life, loved beauty, and loved God's creations. He revelled in the change of seasons-- in the flowers in the spring and summer and the brilliant colors of the leaves each fall. He loved walking through the newly fallen snow. He loved his family and they loved him. The world is a richer place for his having lived here. His grandchildren and the great-grandchildren who carry his name will carry his gifts always.
