Private Tabor served with Co. H 12th Wisconsin Vol. Inf. during the Civil War of 1861-65. He was slightly wounded in battle (bullet in his left calf which caused him to limp slightly for the rest of his life). He also was Commander of several G.A.R. posts until his death at age 87 in 1919.
