Son of John Calvin and Bessie (Mitten) Griffith. He owned a Ford dealership in Noblesville from 1948 to 1955. He was the vice president of the Edsel Division of Ford Motor Company from 1957 to 1960. He was also chairman of the board or American National Bank. He retired in 1970. Member of First Christian Church, Noblesville Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. Survivors were his wife, Gertrude Griffith, son Bill Griffith, Brothers Claude and Bill Griffith and a sister Mary Catherine Gates.
