Son of Benjamin Israel Weber and Regina Katz; brother of David Weber and Sam Weber. He married Myrtle (Smith) Merriam in 1969, after dating her for over 10 years. Till then he had been a confirmed bachelor.

While he never had his own children, he adored his "step" grandchildren so much so, he gave them a place to live, food on the table and clothes to wear.
