I am trying to keep memories alive in the Portage/Kalamazoo Michigan area and beyond.
** PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do your research when adding a memorial. Check that the person has NOT been added before you add yours. I spend a lot of time researching the site before I add a person so please do the same. We are one big family here trying to conserve history and no one likes to spend a lot of time memorializing a person to find out their work was in vain. **
God bless everyone that has passed, their families and all the F.A.G volunteers who take a lot of their time on this site!!
Thanks, BW | |

 | John and Jacobtje Kiel Hi,
Thank you so very much for the photos of John and Jacobtje's marker. I really appreciate your time and effort. That is really one beautiful hunk of stone!! And it gets to serve such a noble purpose.
Take care.

 | Glenn R Ennis Headstone Photo Thank you so much for getting that for me I know it hasn't been the best weather in Michigan these past few days. I really appreciate your doing this so fast, and appreciate the time and effort it takes, and the time you give to others.

 | Lawrence E. Smith Hi BW,
You added the photo of Lawrence W. Smith's grave marker to Lawrence E. Smith's memorial. Perhaps you could go in and switch it.
Thanks.

 | George Rix The original owner of the memorials for George Babcock Rix and Jennitt "Jennie" Cameron just transferred management to me. Since you are a direct relation and I am not, I have transferred them to you. Regards, LinneAdded by Velcro on Mar 09, 2013 5:44 PM | | | Velcro
 | RE: Rix Family (2) Nice to meet you, cousin. My gg-grandfather was Oel Rix, brother of Garner Johnson. He married Lydia Sage and they lived in the Memphis, MI area. I was working to update some of my records for my branch of the family when I realized I had information on your branch. I am glad you are open to all my information. I am not in the Kalamazoo area, Colorado instead. One of the surprises for me when I started working on the family history was meeting "new" cousins. It was not something I had anticipated. I have found George Babcock Rix (70471477) and his second wife, Jennitt "Jennie" [Cameron] (70471551) Rix. I have asked the owner of their memorials to link them together and to link George to his parents. Since they are not my direct line, I did not ask for management. I will leave that to you. Do you have any information on Elizabeth "Betsey" Rix and her husband, Chauncey Bonfoey? I found pictures on Ancestry.com indicating they are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, but there is no "Find A Grave" memorial that I can find.
