I've been doing Genealogy for three-and-a-half years now and have found a great love for it. I have researched both sides of my Family Tree and found many, many interesting people, stories, Family Histories ... I've met a lot of wonderful people and have had some very interesting talks, listening to stories about people I'm related to, as well as stories about people not in my Family. I have also met many distant cousins who have become good friends. My Family names on my Father's Paternal side are Mecum, Campbell, Morris, Hammack, Wilkerson, Walker, Perry, and Watson in Forsyth, Stokes, and Guilford Counties in North Carolina. On his Maternal side are Crayton, Page, Smith, Culp, Efird, Coble, Cagle and Harward in Stanly County in North Carolina. On my Mother's Paternal side the names are O'Neal, Keller, Bunten, Harlan, Osborn, Duncan, and Robinson in Putnam and Hendricks Counties in Central Indiana, and Harris in Kentucky. On her Maternal side are Noland, Matthews, Chenowith, Mowbray, Bachtenkircher, and Lister in White, Jasper, and Pulaski Counties in Northern Indiana, Beach in West Virginia and Ohio, and Heil/Hile in Pennsylvania. If you are related, please contact me. I love meeting new cousins! If I can help you, please ask. I love to help people find their own Family Histories. And please use any pictures, stories, etc. that I have posted here in any way that you want. We are all Family, they belong to all of us! I look forward to hearing from you! Carolyn Marie Mecum Pinkerton

 | RE: Mary Elizabeth Breisch Melroy Crouthamel Thanks. | | | Jay Kacena
 | Oliver In addition to Elizabeth, Clara and John, there are four other Olivers in the Oak Shade records. Add memorials for the following and I will post photos of them for you.
Leonard - d. 6/26/1934 age 74 Joseph - d. 1858 age 11 Henry - d. 1882 age 70 James W. - b. 22 Feb 1818 d. 26 Apr 1872
A Genealogy Society record identifies a son of H & E Oliver named Joseph Allen Oliver who died 29 Aug 1855 at the age of 14 days. Although this Joseph is listed as being buried at Oak Shade, only one Joseph is listed in each record and, as you can see, there is a conflict in the dates of death. Perhaps you have other facts of the matter. | | | Jay Kacena
 | RE: Elizabeth Oliver Photo Request Cemetery records say Elizabeth died 22 July 1888 at the age of 77 years and 7 months so she was born in 1811. | | | Richard C Burd
 | David Crouthamel Hi Carolyn, for the description of the photo for David Crouthamel, you have his 2nd wife as, "Mary Louise". Could you change that to "Mary Elizabeth"? Thanks. Richard | | | arrowkeeper

 | RE: Cecil and Beatrice Buckingham Thank you for your letter. I took the other "Buckinghams" on the list, but apparently my camera misfunctioned and they didn't show up, so I will go back and retake them.Added by Elle114 on Apr 17, 2013 9:48 PM | | | Ryan

 | Mary & George O'Neal Hi Carolyn, George O'Neal does not have a stone next to Mary O'Neal. There is a George O'Neal buried in Oakland near Moulton but I do not have that transcription to look up the dates. Have posted Mary's stone at Otterbein. Rhonda | | | hlm
 | RE: Robert and Nancy E Taylor You're welcome! Even if the weather is bad, it's good to get out and get some fresh air! I don't know if you are following the Taylor line as well but there did seem to be more Taylors at this cemetery. In fact, if you click on the picture (making it enlarge)you can see a Charles Taylor headstone in the background. Just FYI.Added by hlm on Feb 27, 2013 4:04 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
