RE: daisy n. giggey hi Kristen, thanks for the return note. I left a message for another family member to someone else and it transferred control of it to me, I guess. I can't really control this stuff. I had given you everything I had on daisy, a birthdate. I don't see a way to send you a message that the whole world can't see, as I have a lot I could share about other branches of the tree, but I guess that will have to be o.k. all I have for your grandmother lenna is a birth date, and also a birth date for l. brennan and his birth location. I don't have much on any of the giggey branch at all other than a name, some birth dates and marriage info, no names of any children (grandchildren of Julia (or is it Julie as my grandfather has it?). I have more on George wiggen than anyone else. perhaps you don't have some of it either so I will give you what I have on him. *** son of john giggey of new Brunswick and later Illinois. he was in califorina 1853-1856, and removed to Nevada 1868, and to Colorado in 1873, and was there a mining expert many years. very successful in mining. he was injured in a railroad accident, and died a few months later at boulder, colo. on sept. 30,1896. **** how accurate that is, I don't know, but that is what my grandfather typed up dec.21,1941. he also had grace lois (giggey) crimmins address as r.d. box 144, Bellingham, wash. *** well I guess I better stop or i'll fill all the bytes available on the web. I can't seem to get enough information even though I can trace my mother's side of the tree back to 1510 in direct line. it's the branches that keep me on the hunt. thanks for all the effort you have put in. frank is my grandfather's name, my name is mike. just thought he should be on the web 52 years after he passed.
daisy n. giggey please note that daisy, daughter of george wiggen giggey and julia ann (smith) giggey was born on may 20,1879 in boulder. the date of death, oct. 4,1881 is correct. julia's parents are my great-great grandparents and the birthdate comes from our family tree information. if you could update daisy's page with this information please. she is in the green mountain cemetary in boulder. thank you, mike, toledo, ohio
RE: Smith/Giggey Family Perhaps you can get a hold of the seller and ask for copies of his pictures. He may put you in touch with the buyers and they can make copies for you as well. People are pretty nice when it comes to things like this!
Smith/Giggey Family There is a pretty good collection of photos of this family for sale on ebay. Here is a link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cdv-Tintype-Album-w-Cdv-California-Photographer-Hidden-Mother-etc-/251217647634?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D5047871613866205815%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D4%26sd%3D230896138340%26
George and Julie are in the album. Pretty exciting if you are related!
George Nelson Giggey I checked the cemetery records and the local newspapers and they don't show a George Giggey at all. There are two listings in the paper for a Mason Giggey's his marriage and the birth of a son in the year of 1915. Are you sure George was buried in Longmont?
Snavely There is another stone beside Lucinda Snavely that has the name of Herbert C. son of I.R. and S? Snavely. We couldnt read it too good but when we go out there again we will try to see if we can make it more readable. Do you happen to know of him? He was born July 16 1829 couldnt read the death date. Shirley
Bolin and Mulligan Thank you very much for photographing the Bolin and Mulligan's headstones for me. Now I wonder if this is actually the daughter of Sylvia and Lacy, Grayce? If it is, were does the name Nielsen come from? I know that Sylvia did not remarry. Will have to try to do more searching. Thank you again.
