My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people.
I retired in 2007 from Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission, Lincoln, Nebraska. My husband retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and then from Nebraska Corrections. After our retirement, we moved to my hometown in south central Nebraska.
If you find any mistakes, want additional information or an obituary added, please send the suggestion through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.
Harvard Cemetery, Clay County, Nebraska Hello again, Peggy! I hope all is well for you. My family and I greatly appreciate the genealogy information you have made available to us through find a grave. Thank you so very much. Last time we "spoke" you mentioned the 10 Farrow graves all in a row in Harvard Cemetery including a Josie B. and Josie Bee. You thought Josie Bee was the child of C. and Nettie Farrow's daughter. That information surprises me and I wonder how you can know that from a tombstone. Are there county records I should be requesting so I can know more? Or is there a genealogical or historical society locally that knows more? I love when historical societies have this information because it is so often someone else's research file, already complete with birth/death/marriage certificates and census pages and occasionally even photographs!! Look forward to your reply and any thoughts/help you can offer. Take care!
RE: Crystal Lake Cemetery photos If you can call the cemetery office for the burial plot, it will be an easy request. Crystal Lake Cemetery, 3816 Penn Ave N Minneapolis, MN 55412 (612) 521-3677 Thanks!
RE: Coral Stephens You are more than welcome. If there's any more memorials I've posted that you'd like just let me know, always glad to put them with family.
RE: Levi Ringwalt Hello Peggy, I am a Diller and Ringwalt family genealogist. No, this is not my direct line, but I am interested in knowing where the Duey comes from.
Looking on Ancestry, I cannot tie in the Duey name yet.
Levi Bull Ringwalt and Catharine Swigert Duey had the following children:
Jacob B or Jacob D Ringwalt (1846-1891) David Lewis Ringwalt (1847-1928) Levi Amos Ringwalt (1849-1889) Josepth Ringwalt (1852- Hester Ringwalt (1854- Mary M. Ringwalt (1857-1895) Charles W. Ringwalt (1859- Nora Kate Ringwalt (1867-1867)
So, Charles and Kate on the headstone, would be their children.
If you ever tie in the Duey name let me know and I will do the same.
Milan Oakwood Cemetery I think I've added some records for some people in your family. I've added Jonah and Myrtle Seaman and Mabel and George Robinson.
I don't have the pictures all taken yet. My goal is to have the entire cemetery photographed and recorded. Working on the records right now until it warms up.
William Thomas Clark Just found his marker and want to thank you for your hard work, its amazing how many you have done. Was wondering how you are connected to William Thomas Clark. I am his great granddaughter. My fathers, mothers father. Sorry for my grammer.
EVERETT GEORGE Hi...at this time I will not be transferring any people from Garden of Memories. I have a ton of relatives buried there and I don't know all of them yet. After I find out if they are related, and they are not, I will be happy to transfer. In the meanwhile, I will be happy to add any info that you would like to the memorial.
RE: John Glancy You are welcome Peggy. I am an Adams County, IN researcher and also major contributor the the Genweb Adams County site. Alot of the people who are in my files are there because they connect to someone else's family that has somewhere along the line connected to the main ones we work on. This is one of those. But I am curious, if you know who raised the children after John's first wife died...I have not been able to find them in the census in 1910....
Also the copy I typed this from was faded...was the 3rd child Nora or Neva?
Margaret McCarty Hi, I have been a volunteer at Crystal Cemetery. The office is now limiting the number of searches per person, not per day. So this means I have ran out of options to call the office for plot section # and lot # information without having to pay for it. Can you help me? If you call the office 612-521-7619 they are very helpful. If you limit your qty less than 4 requests you should have no problem getting the information. Please add the Section #, Lot # info into the memorial, I and others will claim them. Thanks, Troy
