RE: Arzamarski You are welcome Midge! If you are interested, I have an unintrusive method of bringing out faded gravstone inscriptions. Look at Julia Ann Brentner in Long Cemetery and Lizzie Mayer in Greenwood Cemetery (both in Winnebago County, IL). If you want more info let me know. Alva
Lieut Benadam Gallup Would you mind adding your great photo of his tombstone to his memorial at Gallup Cemetery in Ladyard? Here is the address of his memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=38931678
RE: Holmes I have been so deep into my Drake/Jackway line and only wandered into my Smith/Holmes line a little bit. I know I come off Temperance who was this Johns sister but don't know as of yet all the others and the history that goes with them all. John and Temps father Joshua would of been my 9th G grandfather. Temp marries into Smith and my Smith marries Jackway and my Jackway marries Drake. The Drake/Jackway line has been so dang interesting with so many revolutionary war battles, that it has been hard for me to pull away from all of them and continue back into the Smith/Holmes side, but I'll get there. I do know Smith's, Dennison's, Sturgis, Wheeler's, Ingram's ,Holmes, Gorhams, and Winchesters are all up there and tie into me, so there is so many to search yet. I never ever thought in a million years I would get interested in this family history like I have, let alone become addicted. It's just crazy! My living family wants to know when I'm gonna come back down to the living and leave the dead alone. With a smile, I just shake my head and tell them I have no idea.
Holmes Thank you for getting the photo for me, the added info was a huge plus and will help as I continue to dig through this part of my family..Thank you so much! Your work is so much appreciated!
Cuff Ashport Thank you so much! Now Mr. Ashport's page is complete! A couple of years ago I worked with a friend who lives in Illinois to record that cemetery. She did the research and the bios, and I provided the photos. It bugged me that I didn't have his. Thank you for helping to remember him. Eileen
