If, in your Bio, you have chosen photo "COPYRIGHT PROTECTION", you subscribe to "TRANSFER RESTRICTIONS", or you claim "CREATIVE COMMONS" privileges for your entries, please note: I considered these to be counter-productive to the genealogical camaraderie at Find-A-Grave. Without apology, I strongly disagree with the proposition that Find-A-Grave's primary purpose should be to serve as a grave registration website and that ownership should remain with anyone who is not genealogically connected. If these are your choices and you do not believe that the graves of others should be in the "public domain", then ask nothing of me!

I subscribe to the "NORM OF RECIPROCITY" principle; People responding to each other in kind; Returning benefits for benefits. Many contributors, however, do not! Resultantly, I have increasingly received unwanted and unwarranted communications and "lecturing". Please contact me through the SAC feature, as I find it necessary to remove my e-mail address for the time being.
I am generally agreeable to transferring ownership of my (non-Civil War) memorial contributions for upgrade purposes. Vague or distant relationships? No problem! As stated by FindAGrave, "memorials should be viewed as works in progress". If you are willing to improve upon one, feel free to request a transfer. Or, if you desire (or we philosophically differ), I will edit and/or add information in your behalf.
Joe Mastro 89261118 I removed the child link for Ann Rita as requested by JoAnn. I also added a photo of Joe's 1942 draft registration card, because I think it contains interesting informtion. You might want to change the order of the photos, or want it removed. Please let me know. Thank you in advance.
Lena Catino Mastro and Joe Mastro A Rita Mastro is listed as a deceased child. Lena and Joe Mastro are my maternal grandparents and that is not their child. Their union brought about 6 children: John Mastro 1914-1959 Isabell Mastro Damiani 1917-1998 Vito Mastro (still living) Pat Mastro (deceased) Antoinette Mastro Bianco (still living) Anthony Mastro (still living)
Can you remove Rita? I also have more pictures that could be added to the site. Do you mind? I am a new member.
Daisy Marcum #16833507, Ebenezer Cem in Mercer Co, Ky. the stone shows that Daisy was born on January26, 1926. I will put the photo of the stone up on the site sometime this week as soon as I can get the photos downsized.
Anna Joyce Lindley Wolf Thank you for letting me know about the new photos. My mother, bless her soul, left us five years ago, and Anna Joyce was her favorite aunt...Thanks again. It's nice when someone makes an extra effort to be a good Findagraver... Thank you.
The closest I've gotten to Mendocino, was working on "Dying Young" that the exterior shots were shot up there. Thanks again. Jim
Glad to be of help. I actually transcribed this cemetery partially in 1998 and the rest (hopefully) in 1999, before digital cameras were so prevalent. Now I do photos and, if time, visual extraction also (in case something can't be read in the photo).
Someone had contacted me about one of the people on my list (submitted on Rootsweb), and that's when I noticed I never posted memorials here even though I didn't have pictures. So I've been working my way through my list to see who is missing from Find A Grave, or who is there but with different info than what I read "way back then", and then sending in corrections or adding the memorial (haven't started that part of it yet).
The Kelleys were a unique situation in that many had two stones: a flat one with just birth/death years, and then a pillar with more detailed info. But the pillar dates didn't entirely match the flat dates for a couple of them.
I'm not really related to anyone in the cemetery; just did the transcription while passing through on vacation twice, since the cemetery is fairly small and the ones nearer to home in Southern California are huge.
I don't anticipate getting back up to Mendocino any time soon (though I would love to as it is a beautiful, relaxing place), but if I do and no photos have been posted to Find A Grave by then, I will try to take some.
Blain Union Cemetery I noticed your request for the Blain Union Cemetery in Perry County, PA. I visited on Saturday and tried to fulfill your request but could not. The reason so many stay unfulfilled in that region, I suppose, is because so many in that region have no up keep and a great deal of exposure. As such, they are nearly impossible to read at this point. I'm sorry if I was unable to fulfill your request. I am, however, trying to tract down someone who may have a map of interment and would be willing to share without a fee.
Helen Mayhaus I am transferring her memorial to you. She is your relative and I think family should maintain her site. You can put in what you want on her site. Glad she's with family- even distant- doesn't matter to me. Glad I entered her and helped you out.
