 | Joshua McCloud I am sorry I see it now Joshua died in 1913. I am sorry. | | | D-Day1959
 | Joshua McCloud I don't understand. You state Joshua's parents are John Nelson and Mary Barker McCloud. I am confused about the dates. Joshua b. 1837 d. 1913, but John Nelson (his father) b. 1814 d. 1897, and Mary (his mother) b. 1817 d. 1885 | | | mrt
 | Milton D. Hopper Hi Jan,
I was over at Shannondale Cemetery earlier in the week to take a photo of Harriet Hopper's headstone for a Find A Grave request. I wanted you to know that I looked for Milton Hopper's headstone for your request while I was there, but I didn't find it. The headstones on either side of Harriet's fallen and broken stone were also broken off to the base and apparently lost. I had to assume that one of those might have been a marker for Milton. I did find one of Milton's son's headstones in a separate plot, however. James A. Hopper (son of Milton D., grandson of James) is buried with at least two infant children there. The headstone has eroded badly, but I could make out his burial date. Would you like to have this information? I can set up a memorial with a very poor photograph of the stone and plot and transfer it to you.
Yours in genealogy friendship, MelissaAdded by mrt on Jun 16, 2012 6:38 AM | | | Brenda Smith

 | Catherine (Heger) Ranck/Rank No, I now understand the Hage name was an error but had used it because most of Catherine's descendants or just researchers believed it was her maiden name or Haga and narrowed the possibilities down to that couple. I need to find the places I posted that and make corrections! The Moravian Church books from Gnadenhutten and Beersheba in Tuscarawas County, Ohio had her maiden name spelled six different ways, however the earliest entry in 1818 When she and Michael were sponsors for their grandchild Michael Young's baptism has it the same as the earlier Wedding record. Yet in Gnadenhutten the married couple were always spelled Rank, yet in when they were back in Lancaster County, PA. it was spelled Ranck.
According to the wedding record Catherine was born in or from Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, PA.
I believe I have narrowed her possible parents down to two couples but more research needs done to not just guess this time but be accurate.
Possible parents both married at the First Reformed Congregation in Lancaster County, PA are; John Carl Heger & Anna Margarett Hartman m. 23 july 1758 Lancaster or Christian Heger & Catherine Hoffman m. 7 jan 1768 Lancaster. | | | nsuther2
