I am the mother of 7 children, the grandmother of 33, & the great-grandmother of 8. I was employed by the US Postal Service for 30 years & retired in 2001. I have been interested in genealogy for most of my life & actively researching since 1989 on Riney, Gleeson, Bick, Hess, McDaniel, Nall, Gruber, & Tuley. Also Simpson, Brislin, Sinn, Eck, McClure, Abell, Margadant, & Broy, as well as numerous others.
I am a devout Roman Catholic so often leave religious memorials. If any of my entries offends you, please let me know, and I'll remove it or replace it. Thanks.

 | Little Mountain Cemetery
Hi Lillie-
By any chance, do you know how I would obtain a phone number for the VIllage of Monticello? I've been looking for a phone number for Little Mountain Cemetery and I can't locate any info. on-line. The phone number I did find for the Village turned out to be a fax machine. I am hoping to find the church or entity who has the cemetery cards for the cemetery. You graciously transferred my great uncle to me and I'm trying to see if there is any info on the card that says who paid for the cemetery lot and if it is a single lot, etc. Any help you could give me would me much appreciated.

Lillie, were you able to find Mathias, her husband, there also? Could be spelled Hasle or Hoessle. We believe he should be buried at the same location as Maria. We walked the cemetery a few years ago, almost sunset, and gave up looking because of the old unreadable stones, etc. We did not talk with anyone at the church about records. | | | Don Sankey

Lillie, do you know who their parents were? We're wondering if they are son and daughter of Franz Joseph Hasle and his wife Mary Ann. We couldn't find them on the 1880 census - at least where we thought they were. Found them in 1900 but no children, so we thought these could be their children.
My husband's great grandmother was Rosalia Hasle Heiser, his mother's father's mother. She lived in So. Minnesota and died in South Dakota in 1929.
