Well, I received the bad news today - the insurance company has denied the test. Furthermore, they were wrong about the cost of the blame thing, too. Instead of $3,000, the lab told me out-of-pocket is $4,480. What a fiasco this has been dealing with that frazzling insurance company the past 6 weeks.
I have a call in for the surgeon. He was in surgery all afternoon, so he probably won't contact me until Monday. I told his office it wasn't an emergency, to call at his convenience. We will probably go with Plan B (which was his original plan before he reviewed the family cancer history) and that is see what the next mammogram shows in August.
