Brach Candy heiress who disappeared in 1977. A hatcheck girl at the Palm Beach Country Club, in 1950 at age 39 she married Frank Brach, the son of Emil J. Brach. Her husband Frank died in 1970, leaving Helen worth $20 million. Last seen in Rochester, Minnesota after a visit to the Mayo Clinic for a physical checkup. Legally declared dead in 1984, her apparent murder was never solved. The investigation of her disappearance resulted in over 30 convictions on a range of charges including fraud, arson, obstruction of justice, conspiracy and solicitation of murder. Books have been written about the case.
