Married John Anderson Thedford January 9, 1867 and resided in Dyer County, Tennessee until the early 1900's when the Thedfords moved to Cleburne, Texas.
The sons of Palmyra's sister, Julia Ann Akin Carroll had moved to Texas in the 1890's. Abner Franklin Carroll FAGrave #19588352 to Cleburne, Texas. Stephen Bennett Carroll FAGrave #77892657 to Jacksboro and Cleburne, Texas Both nephews buried in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. A. Franklin is buried in the Thedford's Plot.
Palmyra and John had one daughter Naomi, and from all indications, she never married and resided with her parents. She is also buried in the same plot.
Obituary...Cleburne Morning Review...6-18-1912 DEATH OF MRS. THEDFORD The many friends of Mrs. Palmyra Thedford, widow of John A. Thedford, will learn with regret of the of this good lady, which took place at her home at 515 West wilson Street Monday afternoon. after an illness of four weeks. she will be greatly missed by a large circle of loving friends. Mrs. Thedford was 64 years of age. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock, from the First Baptist church, and she will buried at the City cemetery besider her daughter and husband whom she had survived.
