| Birth: | Sep. 29, 1859 Larue County Kentucky, USA | | Death: | May 20, 1918 Glenwood Mills County Iowa, USA |  Susan Catherine Curtis (Curtice) was born in Elizabeth, LaRue County, Kentucky, and passed away at her home in Glenwood, May 20th, 1918, at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 23 days. She was married to George Curtis (Curtice) during the year 1882 and moved to Malvern, Iowa. Later they moved to Hillsdale where they resided for many years, then to Glenwood during the year 1905 where she remained to the time of her death. She was the mother of nine children, eight of whom survive her and are located as follows: John, of Honolulu Barracks; Colon (Solon), Sioux Rapids, Iowa; Jasper at Malvern, Jess now in Canada; Edward in Newhaka, Nebraska, Pearly Epperson of Glenwood. The ninth child, Raymond, having died in infancey. One daughter, Hazel, at home.
She was a kind and loving mother, respected by all who knew her.
