Cin, 85, of Cook, died Sunday, January 25, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. Faye was born at Badoura Township in Hubbard County on December 1, 1918; the daughter of William and Nellie (Rummins) Collins. She grew up there and was united in marriage to John Cin on February 12, 1938 at Detroit Lakes. Following marriage the couple made their home in Detroit Lakes for several years, then lived in the Twin Cities area for many years, settling in Greaney in 1956. Her husband John was a "class A" auto mechanic. Faye has resided in Cook since 1962, and has lived in the Pioneer Apartment Building for over 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cook and its Rebecca Circle. She was also a longtime proud member of the Cook V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1757. Faye enjoyed sewing, and was a wonderful baker and cook.. She was a happy and caring person who always has a smile on her face and optimistic view of life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John in 1976; 3 brothers, William, Nial, and Louis Collins; 6 sisters, Alice Kautz, Ruby Evans, Rose Rice, Flossie Tibbets, Pattie Seward, and Annabell Gebhard,; and a granddaughter Jody Cin in 1972.
Funeral arrangements are with the Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook
SERVICES: Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cook. Rev. Reuben Rosnau will be the officiant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The casket bearers will be Faye's grandchildren. Spring interment will be in the Cook Community Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook
