Edna E. "Babe" Carlson, 85, of 506 Wabash died at 11:15 p.m. November 26 at her home. She was born April 11, 1893 in Wapello county to Abraham and Mollie Martz Overturf and lived in Ottumwa most of her life. She was a former cigar maker and was employed by Pallister Cigar Co. She was member of the Davis Street Christian Church, Social Order of the Beauceant, and Nile Club. She married Oscar Carlson October 20, 1915 in Ottumwa.
Survivors are her husband, nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:30 Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel with burial at Shaul Cemetery. Rev. Cecil Simonton officiating.
