William M. Lattimore, Dead.

William M. Lattimore died very suddenly last Sunday night. His death was very unexpected as he went to bed on Sunday evening in apparently as good health as usual. During the night his wife was awakened by hearing his hard breathing. But before she could get a lamp lighted and return to him he was dead. The immediate cause of his death being heart failure. The funeral services were conducted at the Mt Pleasant Baptist church, Tuesday forenoon.

Mr. Lattimore was born in Jennings County in 1817, being seventy four years of age at the time of his death. He was married when about twenty five years of age to Miss Laura A. Farington, of Mississippi. After he was married he lived for a time in Mississippi, removing from there to Jennings County, the home of his boyhood. After a residence there of a few years he moved to Kansas from which state he came to Johnson county. He has been well and favorably known here for years, as an industrious and enterprising citizen. He was the father of ten children, of whom only three are living. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity which organization took part in conducting the funeral and burial services.
