Rita, 85, Sidney, formerly Minster, died at LanePark Assisted Living.

She was the daughter of T. Gerald and Beatrice (Fitzmartin) Davis. On May 29, 1953, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Dayton, she married Thomas N. Travis, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters: Paula (Paul) Wehner, Kettering, Shari (Ken) Merrill, Marietta, GA, and Therese (Jay) Brown, Minster; three sons: Tom (Tina), New Bremen, Joe (Heather) Beavercreek, and John Paul (Lisa), Centerville; a brother, Ted, Dayton; a sister, Carol (Jim) Rochford, Stallings, NC; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Ditzel, Concord, CA, and Joni Travis, Cuyahoga Falls; and twenty-one grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A 1949 graduate of Julianne High School, Dayton, she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She was a longtime member of the World Apostolate of Fatima, St. Thérése Study Circle and the Right to Life Movement. She had worked at Malone Camera and later in life at the Marianist Mission, both Dayton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
