Janine Gaye Thompson left her earthly struggles to meet her Heavenly father, with a restored body on Friday Sept. 23, 2016. Janine was born in Bremerton, WA on Mar. 22, 1946 to Clarence and Hilma Thompson.

She grew up in Ferndale, graduating from Ferndale High School and Western WA State College. She taught English at University of Arkansas before returning to Bellingham. Janine had a voracious appetite for reading and learning everything. Books were her greatest source of pleasure. She had a wonderful, dry sense of humor. She struggled with mental health and physical issues, but is free from all this now.

Janine will be missed by her sister and brother in law, Marilyn and Jim Larson, her Bailey nephews John, Alan, Matt, Joe and Jay, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law, Tim Bailey. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Highland Healthcare who took the best care of Janine and loved her like family.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery (5977 NW Dr, Ferndale) on Friday, September 30th, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to your favorite charity. Please share your memories of Janine at www.molesfarewelltributes.com
