John J. "Jack" Mehan, age 61, of Pickerington, died Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 15, 1942 in Hammond, IN, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was employed at Huntington Bank for 32 years, where he was Assistant Vice President/Security Manager, was a member of Church of Our Lady, Knights of Columbus, and ASIS, International. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela; children, Christopher (Cherie) Mehan, Reynoldsburg, Michele Mehan, Canal Winchester, Patrick (Courtney) Mehan, Upper Arlington, Melissa Mehan, Pickerington; grandchildren, Zachary, Elijah and Chloe Mehan; mother, Josephine Mehan, Dalton, GA; brothers, Michael (Barbara) Mehan, Castro Valley, CA, Timothy (Anne) Mehan, Pickerington, Terry Mehan, Munster, IN; sisters, Mary Kay (Lee) Humphreys, Dalton, GA, Charlotte Lynch, Cleveland Hgts, OH; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father John M. Mehan, and sister Margaret Mehan. Friends may visit 3-6 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. 256), Pickerington. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Our Lady, 5225 Refugee Road, with the Rev. Fr. William H. DeVille, Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery .
