He was born to the late Ferd Loftis and Fredah (Loftis) Sallee and husband, Joe on July 8, 1938 in Portland, Oregon. In addition to his parents, his brother, Foin Loftis preceded him in death.
Doin is survived by wife, Esther (Baker) Loftis; daughter, Telika Banks and husband, Jim; son, Darrell Loftis and wife, Jamie; granddaughter, Tiffany Branson and husband, Keith, granddaughter, Brettany Bohannon and husband, Tommy, grandson, Cory Loftis, grandson, Brendan Loftis, granddaughter, Aliena Loftis; great-granddaughters, Jerika and Mirandah Bransonr, great-granddaughter, Morgan Bohannon, great-grandson, Anthony Bohannon; niece, Debra and Paul Durham and son Coleman.
Doin was a contractor by trade and owned Lofco Inc. Doin contracted acoustical ceiling jobs, rental apartments, houses and offices. In September 1980 he co-founded Loftis Jewelry and Pawnbrokers with co-founder and partner Dianna (Loftis) Wheeler.
Doin was a member of Sertoma Club, Elks Lodge of Springfield. He was a founding member and past president of the National Pawnbrokers Association and founding member of Missouri Pawnbrokers Association and Greater Ozarks Pawnbrokers Association.
Burial in Hazelwood Cemetery.
