Graveside rites for Mrs. George Rogers Sr., of Dallas, the former Miss Elsie Reeder, were held in Oakwood Cemetery here Monday at noon, after a morning service in Dallas.
Mrs. Rogers, who moved to Dallas about 10 years ago, died there early Sunday after a year's illness.
She had taught school at Caviness, Forest Chapel and Milton in Lamar County before her marriage, and after Mr. Rogers' death in 1940 she taught in the elementary school here.
Surviving are four children: Mrs. Carolyn Wood, Garland, Mrs. Evelyn Young and Mrs. Mary Cadenhead, Dallas, and George Rogers, teacher in Texarkana; also three sisters, Mrs. B. R. Hughes, Sr., Roxton, Mrs. Maude McNutt, Dallas, and Mrs. Beulah Holmes, Vivian, La.; and a brother, H. S. Reeder, 1806 Cleveland St., Paris.
