Joe Rowbal Dies Wednesday Morn.
Ord Plumber Found Lifeless In Basement of His Home; Was in Poor Health

Joe Rowbal, well known Ord plumber, was found dead in the basement of his home Wednesday noon. He was lying on a bed which was in the basement. Dr. C. V. Weekes, who was called, believed that he had been dead about two hours. Death is supposed to have resulted from a heart attack. Mr. Rowbal had not been well for some time and suffered from asthma and heart trouble. Mr. Rowbal was a hard working man, who found idleness difficult to bear. He leaves a widow. two sons, Richard. who was engaged in the plumbing business with his father, and Billie. who lives in Oakland. Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Cummings of Mitchell, S. D.. and Mrs. Merna Wigent of Ord, a sister. Miss Lucy Rowbal of Ord and four brothers, John and Martin of Ord and Albert of Des Moines, and George. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hastings and Pearson.

OBITUARY

Joseph Florian Rowbal, son of John J. and Agnes Rowbal was born on a farm near Elba Aug. 10, 1880. He lived to attain the age of 66 years, one month and 8 days. While still an infant he moved with his parents to Grand Island where the family lived for a short time before they moved to Colorado where they resided until Mr. Rowbal was six years old and they moved to Ord, which has been Mr. Rowbal's home ever since with the exception of a few years spent in Omaha and Chicago.
He had been engaged in the plumbing and sheet metal business in Ord since September of 1912 until a few months ago when poor health forced him to retire. However, he remained active until the day of his death.
On Sept. 30, 1908 he was married to Miss Anna Butcher of Ord. Four children were born to this union, Mrs. Dorothy Cummings of Mitchell, S.D., William J. of Oakland, Calif. and Richard F. and Mrs. Merna Wigent both of Ord. He also leaves three grandsons and three granddaughters, a sister, Miss Lucy A. Rowbal of Ord, four brothers, John and Martin of Ord, George of Des Moines and Albert of Los Angeles, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
One brother died in infancy and a sister, Mrs. Anna F. Holmes preceded him in death.
Interment was in the Ord Cemetery.
