Joseph Carrico
ATTICA - Joseph Carrico, 79, of Route 1, Attica, died at 9:39 a.m. Friday in Community Hospital, Williamsport, shortly after being admitted.
He had been an electrician maintenance foreman at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. in East Chicago, Ind., where he was employed 34 years. He retired Sept. 30, 1966.
Born in Oaktown, Ind., in 1904, he had lived in Griffith from 1939 until moving to Attica four years ago. He attended school in Palestine, Ill. His marriage was July 11, 1924, in Robinson, Ill., to Nelle Alice Rodrick. She survives.
A member of Palestine, Ill. Christian Church, Mr. Carrico was an avid sports fan, and also enjoyed gardening.
Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Billy (Betty) Christenson of Route 1, Attica; and one son, Jim Carrico of Highland, Ind.
Services and burial will be in Highland.
