Leora Mae Steffes, 85 of Independence, Missouri passed away November 18, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am Monday, November 24, 2014 at St. Marks Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lees’ Summit Rd. Independence. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Rosary will be 10:00am Monday at the Church with visitation and Mass following. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 14310 East 42nd Street South, Unit 600, Independence, MO 64055. Leora was preceded in death by her brother Howard Little and three grandchildren. Leora is survived by her husband, Earl J. Steffes and 9 children and spouses. Debbie & Andy Swearingin, Carol & Randy Burton, Patty & Don Finks, Dennis & Nancy Steffes, Joyce & Dennis Ronnau, Beverly McDonald, Bryan & Debbie Steffes, Karen & Todd Ruff and Virginia & Monty Prather. Brother, Leonard Little. 21 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild. Arrangements; Newcomers Noland Road Chapel 816-252-8900.
