Alois Bauer died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Lee Hauser, at Lattnerville, Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, following a lingering illness. He was born in Byron, Germany, May 28, 1860[sic], and when a young man came to Dubuque county.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Charles Chambers, Burlington, Wash.; Mrs. Phillip Maiers, Kimball, S.D.; Mrs. Lee Hauser, Lattnerville; Mrs. John Sutter and Miss Betty Bauer, Dubuque, and Mrs. Edwin Habeck, Dubuque county; also 12 grandchildren. His wife died July 29, 1927.
He was a member of St. Mary's church at Lattnerville. The remains are at the Haudenshield funeral home, from where the funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock to St. Mary's church in Dubuque. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary.
