Mrs. Florie Ophelia J. Boyd, 92, died in a Chatham County hospital. The funeral was at First Christian Church with Randy Lamb and the Rev Gary Boyd officiating with burial at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include five daughters, Earleen B. Reddick, Launa Dickerson and Melcina Bazemore, Sylvania, Exie Haylow, Savannah, and Eva Mae Drake, Waynesboro; and a son, Jesse L. Boyd, Sylvania.
