Obituary:

Julia Mae Haywood, 65, of Chattanooga died on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at a local hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillie Mae Robinson, sisters, Louise, Cora and Laura, all of Chattanooga.

She was a Howard High School graduate and was employed by Orange Grove Centers. She enjoyed bowling and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Haywood, Sr.; sons, Charles Hawyood, Jr., Terry (Hiwatha) Haywood, and Michael (Karen) Haywood, all of Chattanoooga; brothers, William (Frances) Robinson, Murfreesboro, and Charles Robinson, Chattanooga; sister, Annie Ringer; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, Pastor Randy Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens.

His body will lie in state after noon on Thursday.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
