Sweet Daisy Mae was born in Stratford, OK. She came to Texas along with her brother Pretty Boy Dodd (aka PBD), sister Daphne and her brother Dillinger as tiny puppies.
Daphne lived with cousin DeAnna and passed away in 2005 of twisted stomach distress. Dillinger passed away in 2006 of unknown causes - he belonged to Gradnson's Diddums and Cody.
But Loving Daisy and Pretty Boy (PBD) lived with Mammy, my Mama - Patsy Dodd. They were very Beloved and were the ONLY dogs Mama had ever had for her very own. What a DUO!
PBD on his hind feet towered over my son Gary - at 6'4 1/2 to an astounding 8 ft.! He as a horse! One time he got after Gary for play slapping at Mammy on a dare -- Gary ran and PBD got his whole let "bottom-side" in his mouth! HUGE BITE!!! No more Dares!! LOL!
Daisy was gentle, stayed by Mama and always walked her in and out of the house, to the mailbox and waited at the fence when I would take Mama to buy groceries -- she could not wait for Mama to come back.
As tiny pups - Mama carried them around -- and full grown -- they could have carried her. Mama is just teensie weensie
Thank you Daisy Mae for loving my Mama so loyally - she could not wait to come home to see her Lady Daisy.
