Susanna's parents married on 18 January 1841 in Vermillion County, Indiana and lived there for the rest of their lives. They are buried in the Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Vermillion County, Indiana, as are many of her siblings.
There were eleven children including Susannah in her family: Stratton, Eliza, Susannah (Hatt), Charity, Milton, Marion, Florella, Shepard, Allen, Jasper Edwin Hollingsworth and one unknown.
Susannah married William Albert Hatt on 22 June 1879 in Vermillion County, Indiana. William was widower with a small daughter, Ida Jane Hatt (probably raised by William's parents, Joseph Franklin and Cynthia Ann McKinsey Hatt.)
There were four children born to Susannah and William, Herbert Wright, Prince Albert, Burton Monroe "Bertie," and Cynthia Ethel (Lynn, Pyle).
On 25 February 1920, Susannah died and was buried in the Crown Point Cemetery on 27 February. Many of her descendants are buried in the same cemetery, as well as her husband William Albert Hatt. It is not known if Susannah is a descendant of the well-known Quaker Family of Valentine Hollingsworth, who came to Pennsylvania with William Penn, but she could be.
