Lois Kay Nelson Black, 97, died peacefully on March 12, 1994 in the Canyon Hills Nursing Home, in Nephi, Utah.
Born September 19, 1897 to Isaac and Hulda Kay, in Mona, Utah. Married Evan Leslie Nelson-solemnized in the Manti Temple, July 26, 1922. He died October 27, 1929. Married Wells Mellor 1935, and Roy Black in 1960. She was a member of the Canyon Hills Nursing Home branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are two sons, Leslie Evan Nelson, Hurricane; Monte C. Nelson, Salt Lake City; and a stepson, Willard Black of Spring City; with 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the three husbands; two sons, Milton K. Nelson, and John Mellor; and two daughters, Fern and Eva Nelson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, at 12 noon, (viewing at 11 before the services) in the Ursenbach Funeral Home, 96 North 100 West, Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
