Mary loved the Lord, and enter the Gates of Heaven on March 27, 2013.
Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by eight brothers; Herbert Lambert, Jarrett Lambert, Paul Leroy Lambert, Sr., Arthur James "Chick" Lambert, Sr., Albert Smith "Curley" Lambert, Hugh Nolan Lambert, Jr., Jesse Lloyd Lambert, and Fredric Lee Lambert, and one sister; Virginia Caroline Lambert Young Sweet.
Mary is survived by three brothers; Richard R. Lambert, (Jency) of Brevard, North Carolina, Roy A. Lambert of Cherokee, North Carolina, and John H. Lambert (Lorraine) of Covington, Indiana, three sisters; Betty Ann Lambert McCall (Lionel), of Brevard, North Carolina, Sarah Kay Lambert Jones, of Salem, Indiana, and Peggy Sue Lambert Phipps (Carl) of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
Military Service: US ARMY, World War 11, Nursing Corps. Served two years in France as a 1st Lieutenant. Returning from the war, she was a nurse in the Veterans Hospital at Long Beach, California.
She owned and operated the Wikki-up Motel in Cherokee, North Carolina.
Member of the Wilmont Baptist Church.
Buried March 28, 2013, at Campground Cemetery, Indian Hills, Jackson County, North Carolina.
