Jeffrey had a bright smile and sparkle in his eyes. He was born Oct 26, 1978 in El Paso Texas, the 4th child of Robbin & Nancy Wolfe Henderson. His siblings were Alex, Markay, Matthew and Corey. He lived in Texas less than 4 years but he was proud of his Texas heritage. His father was an Army Officer so he lived in a variety of places. He started his education at the American School at SHAPE, Belgium. The family moved to Petersburg, Virginia in 1985 where he joined Cub Scouts and began playing sports. In 1989 they moved to the Presidio of San Francisco where he attended Marina Middle school and played soccer and baseball. In 1991 the family moved to Laie on the North Shore of Oahu where he attended Kahuku High School and played soccer. Jeffrey was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the BYU Cougars. He enjoyed working out with weights and playing street football with his friends.

Jeffrey was a Life Scout and was on track to earn his Eagle Badge. His last camping experience was as the Senior Patrol Leader on the island of Kauai. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he planned to serve a full-time mission.

Over the years, many of his teachers and coaches commented on how much they appreciated Jeffrey, not because he was the best or smartest, but because he worked hard and was so willing to learn. He had a smile that could light up a room and people were drawn to his warm personality.

Jeffrey died as a result of an automobile accident. He had been licensed to drive for just 17 days. His friend, sitting next to him in the vehicle, only suffered a cut hand getting out of the car. The day he died Jeffrey had two opportunities to publicly express his faith. It was Ward Conference and, as Teacher’s Quorum President, he was invited by the Stake President to bear his testimony in Priesthood Meeting. He also said the closing prayer at the Stake Youth Fireside that evening.

He is greatly missed!
